KAV & THE KAVEMEN - ANYTHING BUT PRIMITIVE

It's been a long time coming, but finally after a few initial set backs, Kav Kavanagh not only has his own band, but by sheer good luck has drawn together a sensational line-up of some of the country's top musicians!
The band will play a mix of straight ahead Rock' N Roll and Classic danceable Rockabilly. Having been in the Rock n Roll business for some 28 years as both a dance teacher and/or d.j, Kav has chosen the material for the band selectively, realising that most people these days want to dance rather than stand around watching. Not a lot of people know that Rockabilly isn't just about bopping. There are plenty of good Rockabilly tunes out there that you can stroll or jive to. Some people don’t even realise they are already
Although singing mainly covers, Kav has been careful to select songs that suit his vocal range and the dance floor. His set will feature songs by some of Rockabilly's Greats like: Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly and Gene Vincent amongst others, with the occasional bopper to satisfy the purist.
